If you have lost a loved one to suicide, the grieving and recovery process can be very difficult. Fortunately, there are a number of resources out there that can help you. We encourage you to use the following suicide resources whether you are a loss survivor, suicide attempt survivor, or concerned friend or family member.

SpeakUp!

Based in St. Davis, PA, SpeakUp! is an organization that is committed to promoting positive communication. SpeakUp! has traveled to more than 250 schools to promote a safe environment in which youth, parents, and educators can discuss important issues selected by each event committee. The committees are comprised of student ambassadors seeking to promote positive leadership.

Women’s Therapy Center

The primary goal of the Women’s Therapy Center of Philadelphia is to empower women to live healthy, productive lives. They do this by providing clinical services, therapy groups, educational seminars, couples therapy, mentoring, and other services.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) brings together people across backgrounds and communities to help understand and prevent suicide. AFSP aims to help those who are struggling, grieving, or worried about someone, as well as researchers, advocates, educators, health professionals, and others who are concerned with suicide prevention.

ReachOut

ReachOut aims to help young Americans live happier lives by providing information and support services online. They provide information on a variety of mental health issues, forums, support via text message, and more.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline provides help for attempt survivors, loss survivors, hearing impaired individuals, youth, veterans, and Spanish-speakers. The 24/7 lifeline number is 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
